Use of this site
The information here is general. It is not medical, legal or engineering advice. Radon facts come from public sources, which we link on each page.
Quotes and work
Quotes are written estimates based on what we see at your home. Work starts after you approve the bid. We aim to leave every job clean, labeled and tested.
Licensing, permits and retesting
Nebraska requires a state license for paid radon testing and mitigation (DHHS Radon Occupation Licensing). Iowa requires an Iowa credential for mitigation specialists (Iowa HHS Radon Program). Cities and counties set their own permit rules, especially when a new circuit is needed for the fan, and your installer should handle that step with the permit office. Plan to retest after the install and again at least every two years, as the EPA advises (EPA).
