A radon company that explains the number first

Most people call us after a home inspection or a kit result. They are worried and short on time.

We start by asking where the test was done, how long it ran and what the number was. Then we explain it in plain words. If the number is under 2 pCi/L, we say so and tell you when to retest. If it is 4.0 or higher, we show you the options and the next step.

Our radon services and the cities we serve have their own pages, and our home page has the short version. Prefer to talk? Call (402) 566-8100.

Our Mission

Our mission is to lower radon in Omaha area homes the right way. We test honestly. We design each system for the house in front of us. Then we check the result, so families can breathe easier in the rooms they use every day.

Our Vision

Our vision is a metro where checking radon is as normal as checking a smoke detector battery. Every home has a known number. Every high number gets fixed well. Nobody has to wonder who to call.

What we stand behind

Licensed and insured

Radon work is regulated here. Nebraska licenses radon professionals under Neb. Rev. Stat. 71-3507, and Iowa credentials mitigation specialists under IAC 641-44.

A system built for your home

Slab, crawl space, sump pit and block wall homes each need a different suction plan. We do not copy one design onto every house.

Proof, not promises

We retest after the install and walk you through the results.

How we work, start to finish

  1. You reach out. Call or send the form with your city and any test result.
  2. We look at the house. Foundation type, sump pit, finished walls and pipe routes all shape the plan.
  3. You get a written bid. It lists what goes in, where, and what testing follows.
  4. We install and label. Pipe, fan, gauge and label go in, and large air leaks get sealed.
  5. We retest. The test comes after the fan has run at least 24 hours and within 30 days (ANSI/AARST SGM-SF).

A word from a customer

We contacted several companies before choosing Omaha Radon Mitigation, and we're glad we made the decision we did. They were knowledgeable, courteous, and transparent throughout the process. The installation looks great, and they took the time to make sure we understood everything. Excellent customer service!

Questions people ask us

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We are a licensed and insured radon company. Nebraska requires a state license to test for or fix radon for pay (Nebraska DHHS Radon Occupation Licensing).

How long have you served the Omaha area?

We have served the greater Omaha area for many years, across Douglas, Sarpy, Cass, Washington and Dodge counties in Nebraska and Pottawattamie County in Iowa.

Do you test, or only install?

Both. Testing finds the number, installing lowers it, and a final test proves it.

What standards guide your work?

We follow the state licensing rules and the ANSI/AARST soil gas mitigation standard for existing homes (SGM-SF), and we use the EPA's consumer guidance as our plain-English baseline.

Can you work with my real estate agent or home inspector?

Yes. Send us the report, and we will plan around your closing date. See our page on radon mitigation for a home sale.

Do you give prices by phone?

We can talk about typical ranges. Your final bid depends on your foundation, so we look at the house first.
